being serious about spinners. I see your point, but there is no way I could do it. All the shows I have been to, there was only 1 car that had spinners, which was a mustang, and they just spent all day walking around the car spinning them. They also didn't win anything. This year, I have done 6 shows or so, and at all of them, they were split between rice and nice. The judges know the difference too and vote accordingly. Sure, flashiness draws the people, but it needs to be done tastefully to draw the judges. Judges are not 8 year olds with type R stickers on their bikes either. At the last show I was at, I had a judge walk up to 'inspect' my car and I asked if he was judging already. He said no, just looking at the cars that are potential winners. What drew him to my car was the engine and probably the mirrors I had on the hood. Lots of shine going on. I also talked to him about the do's and don't of showing as I'm fairly new at it and looking to get a little insight as to what wins and what hurts. He stated it has to do with presence and has to have good appeal. In my opinion, spinners lack good appeal for as flashy as they are. If they aren't spinning, they have no appeal and are just ugly pieces of shit. Ugh...lol...anyone have pics or video of spinners on a Z?? The thought makes me cringe.
